(October 21, 2013) Jackson TN – Madison County Commission Appointments and EEOC top the agenda at Monday's Madison County Commission meeting.
After calling the meeting to order on of the first actions of the Commission was to go into Attorney / Client meeting to discuss the pending EEOC complaint against Madison County Sheriff David Woolfork.
After coming out of the private meeting and resunimg the regular session the first action was Cimmissioner Gerry Neese to make a motion the the body approve hiring Attorney Jeffery Beemer, of Dickinson Wright Law Firm, Nashville, to represent the county interests and investigate the allegation once it comes in.

In other action the County Legislative Body (CLB) announced the members of the newly formed Joint Education Committee. The members are Doug Stephenson, Ann Harrell, Gerry Neese, Bill Ragon, Jimmy Arnold, and Barbara Johnson. On Tuesday the Jackson Madison County School Board will announce the six members it will appoint to the joint committee.
Earlier in the day Mayor Harris joined others, including Gov Bill Haslam, at Bodine for a 10th Anniversary celebration. Harris gave a report at Monday's meeting.
