Police Arrest Husband for Killing Wife; Suspect Arraigned in Court for Second-Degree Murder
Michael Smith, Sr was arraigned in City Court on a charge of Second-Degree Murder. He has a $500,000 Bond and was ordered to undergo a Forensic exam.
Jackson police charged Michael Smith, Sr., for killing his wife Christy Smith at their home at Holly Ridge Cove.
Shortly after 10 p.m. Friday, officers and major crimes investigators responded to the home after receiving a call of a shooting.
The 36-year-old Smith was found inside the home dead from a single gunshot wound.
