A Jackson woman has died as a result of injuries that she received following a two-vehicle crash on July 25th.
The victim, identified as Patricia J. Bomar, age 62, died on Friday July 26th at Jackson General Hospital.
She had been operating a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier and was attempting to turn left from Holiday Dr. to north on Highland from a stop sign. As she crossed the southbound land of Highland she was struck in the driver's side by a vehicle traveling south on Highland. The vehicle traveling south was a 2005 Ford driven by Max Burden, 25, also of Jackson.
Burden was not injured in the crash. Both drivers were wearing a seatbelt.
There were no indicators of alcohol or excessive speed. The cause of the crash is failure to yield on the Chevrolet.
