Bemis Post Office Temporarily Closed Due to Black Mold Concerns
The U.S. Postal Service has temporarily closed the Bemis Post Office after black mold was discovered in the building, citing safety risks to employees and customers.
The closure went into effect immediately, according to postal officials. The branch, located in the Bemis community, will remain closed until the mold issue is fully remediated and the facility is deemed safe.
Customers with PO Boxes at the Bemis location are advised to pick up their mail at the downtown Jackson Post Office, 200 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Drive. Postal staff there will assist.
