The Brownsville-Haywood County Chamber of Commerce and Ford Motor Company hosted an official grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the brand-new Brownsville’s Splash Pad on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

This exciting new addition to the Parks & Recreation Department was made possible through the generous support of Ford Community Relations and will provide a fun, family-friendly space for children and residents to enjoy throughout the summer season.

Community members, local leaders, and elected officials attended the special celebration to officially unveil the splash pad and commemorate another investment in recreation and quality of life for Brownsville-Haywood County.

“When we met with the kids at the Boys and Girls Club they told us they were looking for things to do in their community,” said Marianne Dunavant, Ford Community Relations Manager. “The splash pad was one of their ideas and we are thrilled to help provide this amazing space where kids can just be kids.”

The pool and splash pad will be open to the public starting June 1st and provide an exciting new community attraction in Haywood County.
