Open less than than three weeks, business has been better than brisk at The Trump Store at 2018 North Highland Avenue.
Apparel headlines the merchandise, but it doesn’t stop there for the Trump supporter gearing up for the 2020 Presidential Election.
There’s glassware, scarfs, ornaments for the Christmas tree, tumblers, mugs, yard signs and campaign buttons to name a few of the items.
“Our best sellers are hats, T-shirts and hoodies,” Phil Colwell said, “We’ve been very well received. Everybody who comes in the store is saying the economy is great, and the company they work for is looking to hire – because business is good.”
Everybody?
“Well, we have some negative comments,” Colwell, said, “I ask them why they don’t like the man … he is for the working man – he’s for the American worker.”
Colwell, who is originally from New England, lives in Carroll County.
His organization also travels the country working various sporting events selling merchandise at the Super Bowl, World Series, Stanley Cup, NBA Finals, the NCAA Final 4 and the NCAA College Football Playoffs.
Business hours at The Trump Store are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sundays.
