Maranda Jones, an 11-year employee at West Tennessee Healthcare, earned the organization’s employee of the month award for June.
Maranda was recognized during the West Tennessee Healthcare’s Board of Trustees monthly meeting at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, Tuesday.
According to her co-workers, “Maranda is one of the most giving people; one of those special people who would give a stranger their last dollar.”
Maranda and her mother take time and money out of their pocket to sew all crib sheets for the NICU.
The parents love to pick out a special bed sheet to decorate cribs/isolettes and radiant warmers.
They have made numerous sheets to fit our babies to help provide a small comfort for the parents.
Maranda always has a positive attitude and a smile on her face!
Teresa Thompson, who was the employee of the month for March was also recognized, Tuesday.
NOTE: Tuesday’s meeting was the first at the hospital since February.
She serves the Labor and Delivery department as a primary charge nurse and is more like a mother than anything. Some call her “Mother Teresa” because she is a perfect example of Christ’s love in a leader. She is kind and loving to everyone.
