Gilda Gause was recognized as the West Tennessee Healthcare employee of the month for February, Tuesday.
Tim Adams, a vice president with West Tennessee Healthcare made the presentation before the trustees held their monthly meeting at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
If you enjoy coffee at Seattle’s Best inside Jackson-Madison County General Hospital at 708 West Forest Ave., then you have had the wonderful experience of meeting Gilda Gause, who works in food services.
From the moment Gilda takes your order, you know that you are in for a special treat.
According to a press release, Gilda loves what she does, remembers and recalls everyone’s order, is glad to serve others, and you can feel her energy.
She has a contagious laugh and a gift of making perfect strangers who are standing in line, turn to the person next to them and open up a good-natured dialogue.
Gilda is not at the patient’s bedside, but she performs as any other healthcare professional by taking care of the loved ones of the patients on the floors.
She is kind and gives respect to coworkers, visitors and patients – something she has been doing for 12-plus years. She’s always calm and works well under pressure.
