Amisha Patel and Andria Russow have been named the West Tennessee Healthcare employees of the month for July.
Teresa Freeman, vice president and chief nursing officer at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital and Damon Mays, executive director West Tennessee Healthcare Regional Transfer Center, presented the award.
It is not for certain, but it is believed it is the first time two people have been presented the award in the same month.
Amisha has been with the organization for 12 years. She thinks about her patients and the care she gives them. Without being asked, Amisha will recognize opportunities and lend a hand to help out.
Andria Russow has been with the organization for over nine years. She is always willing to help others and just jumps right in to help! She has assisted with moving and transferring patients off of floors.
“They are our mid-shift MRT nurses, they are work partners,” said Amy Garner – Chief Compliance & Communications Officer – West Tennessee Healthcare Clinical services, “Clinical services, like many departments, has been working extra days and shifts, and doing multiple jobs other than their own to help cover shortages.
“They do this willingly and with a great attitude! They work together to get the job done! The staff says they could not do their jobs without both of them.”
