Due to severe weather in the forecast, the Light the Night Fall Carnival planned for this Wednesday, October 30, has been cancelled. All candy collected for the event will be donated to Operation Gratitude to be sent to troops overseas.
“We were hoping to see hundreds of kids and families on our campus for this fun event,” said West Jackson’s Children’s Pastor, Rich Smith, “But we feel that the decision to cancel is what is best for the safety of the families who had planned to attend.”
About West Jackson Baptist Church: West Jackson is a Southern Baptist church located at the corner of Pleasant Plains Rd. and Oil Well Rd. in North Jackson. The church was founded in 1906 and has been a steady presence in the Jackson community ever since. West Jackson meets on Sundays for bible study at 9:00 a.m. and worship service at 10:30 a.m.
