(February 6, 2015) JACKSON Tenn — According to the victims statement to police, she and her boyfriend were asleep in her apartment, at 267-B Lincoln Circle, when she was awakened by someone trying to get in her house. The complaint alleges that Destaney Howard was trying to get in the apartment looking for her ex, the victim’s boyfriend.

The complaint goes on to allege that Howard was told to leave and told the victim she had already stolen numerous items from the apartment.

Howard allegedly said to the victim, “That’s alright I know (he) is in there, that’s why I was all up in your place and just took your phone, clothes, and all kinds of other things”.

The victim confirmed her door key had been stolen and items were missing.

The items were valued at over $700.00

Destaney Howard is charged with Aggravated Burglary and Theft of Property Over $500.00.

She is being held in the Criminal Justice Complex
