Trailing 22-9 in the fourth quarter, Tennessee rallied for a 23-22 win over Indiana in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl, Thursday.
Quvarius Crouch score on a one-yard run with 4:21 remaining, and 30 seconds later, a short run by Eric Gray provided the final points of the game.
UT held a 6-3 lead at intermission on the strength of two Brent Cimaglia field goals.
Tennessee is now 29-24 all-time in bowl games, while the Hoosiers, who were looking for their first postseason win since 1991, stand at 3-9.
UT’s Trey Smith, an offensive lineman, and IU’s Charles Campbell, a kicker – graduates and teammates at the University School of Jackson – were participants in the game.
