United Way of West Tennessee is excited to introduce a new campaign called #WeAreWestTN.
As the local region, state, nation and world battle Covid-19, United Way hopes this campaign will serve as a rally cry and celebration of West TN.
United Way is jumpstarting this campaign by encouraging families and neighborhoods to participate in four community-wide events from their own yard and driveway: Chalk Your Walk, Driveway Diner, Porch Party/Mailbox Mayhem, and the Run 4 West TN Virtual Race.
There will be one scheduled event for each Friday in April, beginning with Chalk Your Walk.
“We are encouraging families and neighborhoods across West Tennessee to join together in new ways as a community during this challenging time,” said Matthew Marshall, President/CEO of United Way of West Tennessee. “Even though we can’t meet as we are accustomed, we don’t have to let social distancing divide us as a society.”
Families are encouraged to snap a photo of their time during each event and tag @LiveUnitedTN to be featured on United Way’s Facebook and Instagram pages. They can even participate in and/or repeat these events as their schedule allows.
