According to the State of Tennessee, the January Labor Force Estimates data is always a bit later coming out because prior year data has to undergo annual revisions before January’s data can be produced.
Highlights from the January 2022 Labor Force Estimates:
The Seasonally Adjusted Unemployment Rate for Tennessee decreased from 3.6 percent in December 2021 to 3.5 percent in January 2022.
During the same time period, the Seasonally Adjusted Unemployment Rate for the United States increased from 3.9 percent to 4.0 percent.
The unemployment rate increased in all 95 counties.
Williamson County had the lowest unemployment rate at 2.2 percent.
Perry County had the highest unemployment rate at 9.2 percent.
