MADISON Co, (May 21, 2015) – Investigators can’t confirm many details at this time but they are shedding a little light on an ongoing investigation.

On Tuesday night 911 received a call from neighbors in southeast Madison county who heard gun shots.

According to Tom Mapes, MCSD Public Information Officer, the call came in around 11:30 p.m. of shots fired at a business on Lohrig Rd.  Mapes said, the owner of the business had information that his store would be robbed.  According to the investigation the business owner set up a surveillance.  Allegedly, the owner saw two men approach the office and he fired a “warning shot”.  The two men fled and the owner pursued the men in his own private vehicle.  Deputies responded the call and the chase which eventually ended in the fleeing vehicle crashing.

Two men are in custody but no charges have been filed.

The business name or suspects names were being released at the tim of this report.
