JACKSON, Tenn. – The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force (TRVFTF) in Jackson captured Luis Fernando Sanchez-Flores, 29, today. He was wanted out of Newbern, Tennessee for Attempted First Degree Murder and Especially Aggravated Burglary.
On January 26, 2023, Sanchez-Flores allegedly broke into a residence off East Drive in Newbern and assaulted the victim with a machete. The victim was transported to a local hospital with lacerations to the head, back, arms, and hands.
On January 27, the Newbern Police Department issued an arrest warrant for Sanchez-Flores for Attempted First Degree Murder and Especially Aggravated Burglary. The case was adopted by the TRVFTF.
On February 2, at approximately 3 p.m., the investigation led to a residence off Enochs Road in Newbern. Sanchez-Flores was safely apprehended by members of the TRVFTF and transported to the Dyer County Jail.
