JACKSON, Tennessee – Today, U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announces the capture of Antravious Thomas, 30, of Jackson, Tenn., who was indicted for Second Degree Murder in a drug investigation by the Jackson-Madison County Metro Narcotics Unit (Metro Narcotics).
On March 4, 2022, Investigators from the Metro Narcotics Unit responded to Interstate 40 in Jackson for a mass overdose incident.
Upon arrival, four victims were found unresponsive inside a vehicle and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
One of the four people, a 56-year-old man from Brownsville, Tenn., was pronounced deceased upon arrival to the hospital.
After a 5-month investigation, Metro Narcotics Investigators were able to develop a suspect in this crime.
On August 1, the case was presented to the Madison County Grand Jury who returned an indictment charging Antravious Thomas with Second Degree Murder and Sale and Delivery of Fentanyl.
On the morning of August 3, the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force took Thomas into custody in Humboldt, Tennessee.
