February 1, 2018, (JACKSON Tenn) – Bryan Burchett is charged in connection with a shooting Monday afternoon in east Jackson.
19-year-old Burchett and several others allegedly attacked a man on Lane College’s campus. According to the victim he was punched and he saw a man, identified as Burchett, holding a handgun.
The victim fled but an hour later near Orchard Street was again confronted by the same group, court documents say. this time Burchett alleged to have fired a shot at him.
Burchett is charged with criminal attempt to commit first-degree murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony. Burchett is currently in the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex in lieu of $150,000 bond.
19 year old Braxton Taylor faces charges in a midtown shooting Sunday afternoon near downtown Jackson.
According to the victim he and Taylor had been arguing and the victim told police Taylor shot him.
Baxton Taylor was arrested Wednesday morning near the 200 block on East Forest Street.
Taylor remains in the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex in lieu of $150,000 bond.
