The 2018 TSSAA Girls State Basketball Tournament at Middle Tennessee State University has a distinct West Tennessee flavor, with five area teams participating.
In Class A, Greenfield (31-2) plays Pickett County (30-2) at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, followed by a 6 p.m., first round game between Huntingdon (26-1) and Moore County (28-5).
The winners will play in the state semifinals, Friday.
In the bottom half of the bracket, Dresden (23-9) plays Summertown (30-2) at 11:30 a.m., Thursday.
In Class 2A, Westview (32-2) will play Alcoa (21-10) at 1:15 p.m., Thursday.
Haywood (23-12) plays Gatlinburg-Pittman (21-12) at 6 p.m., Thursday.
