The passing of three resolutions highlighted the West Tennessee Healthcare’s Board of Trustees monthly meeting at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, Tuesday.
The board approved financing for the purpose of refunding certain bonds of the City of Jackson, payable from the revenues of the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital and approving the issuance of Hospital Revenue Refunding Bonds of the City of Jackson – to accomplish said refunding, and authorizing and approving the execution and delivery of documents and instruments relating thereto.
A new EMS Station will be built at 105 Watson Road, considered a strategic location for future expansion and business opportunities for the Hospital.
Design for the facility are complete and bids have been received for the facility, which will be about 3,500-square-feet, and cost $636,000.
It will offer a wash bay, plus staff facilities and storage, and can easily be expanded if future growth in the Watson Road becomes necessary.
The board also approved the authorization the replacement of a rooftop chiller and HVAC unit that serves operating rooms 1-6, 19-24 and 25.
The cost of the new unit is $710,000.
