The Jackson Symphony, Chandelier Cafe teaming for ‘Season Finale’ at First Baptist Church, Saturday

The Jackson Symphony and Chandelier Cafe are preparing for a memorable ‘Season Finale’ concert for 2017-2018.

The concert will be held at First Baptist Church, 1627 North Highland Avenue, at 7:30 p.m., featuring not one, not two, but four French horn soloists in Schumann’s exciting Konzertstück followed by Tchaikovsky’s last composed symphony, Symphony No. 6, which Tchaikovsky himself said, “this is the best of me.”

You are invited to immerse yourself in the passion and energy of these beautiful works.

Chandelier Cafe, 575 South Royal Street, bottom floor of The Neely House, is partnering with The Jackson Symphony for the last concert of the season to offer prix fixe menu for patrons before the concert.

According to a press release, for concert goers, Chandelier offers an elegant and convenient dining option for the final classical concert of the season.

Reservations for this exclusive offer will be open from 5 p.m. until 6:15 p.m., Saturday, ensuring patrons will be able to make the opening of the show.

The menu will include three courses (salad, entree and dessert options) for $40 per person. There will also be a wine pairing option for each course for $60 per person. To reserve your seats, please contact Chandelier at (731) 554-2221.

The Jackson Symphony Season Finale concert is sponsored by Toyota Bodine Aluminum Jackson.

The Pre-Concert talk with Dr. Dan Musselman will begin at 6:45 p.m., with the concert following at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the event are $35 for adults and $20 for seniors and students.

After you have heard the full orchestra on Saturday, visit St. Luke’s Episcopal Church on Mother’s Day, Sunday, to experience an upbeat afternoon with our Jackson Symphony Percussion Ensemble.

This chamber concert will feature popular classics and contemporary favorites on a myriad of percussion instruments. Coffee and pastries will be served at 2:30 p.m., and the concert will begin at 3 p.m. Tickets for the event are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and students.

Tickets for both concerts are available at the door or you may purchase online www.thejacksonsymphony.org, in person at the administrative offices of The Jackson Symphony, or by phone at (731) 427.6440.
