The Community Foundation of West Tennessee will award $55,000 in Community Impact Grants to seven organizations during a celebration at Catbird Studio, 2100 Pleasant Plains Ext., at 8:30 a.m., Thursday.
According to The Foundation’s Haley Wildridge – Community Outreach Associate – the organizations receiving awards are –
• Boys & Girls Club of Jackson
• Habitat for Humanity Jackson
• Hands Up! Preschool
• Jonah Affordable Housing
• Regional Inter-Faith Association (RIFA)
• United Way of West Tennessee
• WRAP (Wo/Men’s Resource and Rape Assistance Program)
The Foundation began awarding Community Impact Grants in 2016. Through this program, the organization has granted over $217,000 since its inception. Previous organizations funded have been in the arts, education, youth programs, and more.
This year, the grants focused on projects and initiatives that benefit the health and well-being of residents in Madison County with priority given on projects that impact children ages 0-8.
