Redemption Road Rescue, an organization focused on rescuing horses until no more need be rescued, will host the 6th annual “Horsin’ A Round” golf scramble on Monday, August 14 at the Jackson National Golf Club.
The scramble will begin with a noon shotgun, and all proceeds will go directly to the 501(3)(C) organization.
Redemption Road Rescue was founded in 2009 as an organization to help horses and horse owners in need. They accept surrendered animals, and work side by side with local authorities on animal cruelty cases and seizures.
On any given day, Redemption Road Rescue houses 30 to 40 horses, ponies, donkeys, mules and miniature horses in various stages of rehabilitation.
The horses are all various ages, sizes, breeds, and levels of handling and training. Once a rescued horse has been successfully rehabilitated, it can be adopted to its forever home.
Redemption Road Rescue is fully operated on a volunteer basis. The organization is funded by private donations, grants and adoption fees, which cover the cost of feed and veterinary care.
