The Jackson Police Department has charged Terrell Lamont Reid. age 27 of Brianfield Cove with the attempted murder of Corey Scott, 18 of Jackson.
The incident occurred on September 25, 2010 when Corey Scott was riding a bicycle on Tracewood Cv. when an SUV pulled up and a passenger, now identified as Reid got out and struck Corey Scott in the face knocking him backwards off of the bicycle and causing his head to strike the pavement.
Reid then kicked and stomped Scott as he lay on the ground before a witness pushed him away.
Scott was transported to the hospital where he was found to have a fractured skull and neurological injuries and he has remained hospitalized since.
Reid was arrested today on a warrant charging him with Attempted Murder for the attack. The two men apparently had some familiarity with each other and reportedly had exchanged words earlier in the week although the physical attack on Scott was sudden and unexpected.

He will be arraigned in Jackson City Court at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday.
