The chief executive officer of Tennova Healthcare – Regional Jackson sees a positive in the Asset Purchase Agreement West Tennessee Healthcare signed to acquire three hospitals – Tennova Healthcare Jackson, Dyersburg and Martin – from Nashville-based Community Health Systems, Inc. (CHS), for $67 million.
“Joining a larger regional network of hospitals and providers makes sense in the current environment and positions us for the future,” Lance Beus said. “We are committed to providing our patients with the highest quality care and this will continue once we join with West Tennessee Healthcare.”
The transaction includes all physician clinics and outpatient services associated with the three hospitals, which will also become part of WTH’s 18-county network of medical centers and outpatient services.
Beus became the CEO at Tennova Healthcare – Regional Jackson, Oct. 30, 2017, arriving from CHRISTUS Jasper Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Texas.
He began his healthcare career as administrator of a 17-provider cardiology practice in Johnson City, Tennessee and served as Assistant CEO at CHS-affiliated Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin, Texas and CEO at hospitals in Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
Lance Beus earned a master’s degree in public health – healthcare administration from East Tennessee State University and his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Brigham Young University.
