From the Jackson Police Department –
Alex Campbell has been located by the U.S. Marshals in Detroit, MI., for the Jackson, TN, Walmart North shooting on 11/27/2022.
Campbell is currently in custody and the investigation into this shooting incident is still ongoing.
He had an active warrant for Attempted First Degree Murder that was issued out of Jackson City Court on November 28, 2022.
On November 27, 2022 at approximately 5 p.m., two employees of Walmart North located at 2196 Emporium Drive, Jackson, TN., engaged in a fight inside a freezer located in an isolated portion of the store not open to the public.
Alex Campbell was one of the employees involved in the altercation. After the fight ended, Campbell allegedly shot the other employee with a pistol he had in his possession, and then fled the scene.
The victim was transported to a local emergency room with non-life threatening injuries.
