Charlotte Russe closing Old Hickory Mall location
Charlotte Russe, a women’s fashion retailer inside the Old Hickory Mall, is closing, due to its company filing for bankruptcy.
According to published reports, all company stores will close April 30.
The San Diego-based mall chain – founded in 1975 – has more than 500 stores in 49 states and Puerto Rico.
Charlotte Russe filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in early February, with plans to close 94 stores.
Arrow Athletics opens on Vann Drive
Arrow Athletics – Gymnastics, Martial Arts and family fitness – has opened at 1751 Vann Drive.
Arrow Athletics leased the same 17,000-square-foot facility once occupied by Solus Performance Training.
Arrow Athletics is open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturdays.

Mike Tankersley named to Forbes Magazine list
Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) today announced that Mike Tankersley a CRPC ®, Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor, and Portfolio Management Director in the Firm’s Jackson, TN Wealth Management office, has been named to Forbes Magazine’s 2019 list of America’s Best-in-State Wealth Advisors.
According to a press release, Forbes’ Best-in-State Wealth Advisors list comprises a select group of individuals who have a minimum of seven years of industry experience. The ranking, developed by Forbes’ partner SHOOK Research, is based on an algorithm of qualitative and quantitative data, rating thousands of wealth advisors and weighing factors like revenue trends, AUM, compliance records, industry experience and best practices learned through telephone and in-person interviews.

Sears closes in Old Hickory Mall
Store signs and empty display cases are all that remain at Sears, which closed Sunday (March 3) at Old Hickory Mall, 2021 North Highland Avenue.
The retailer was once recognized as an anchor retailer at the mall.
Officials of the mall could not be reached for comment about plans for the vacated 89,000-square-feet of space that is now vacant.
Sears filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in October 2018.
Five years ago, Sears had 2,073 stores.
Woodridge Townhomes sell for $2 million +
Woodridge Townhomes, 12 Country Club Lane, have been sold.
Originally scheduled to be condominiums, Woodridge Townhomes of Jackson LLC sold the 46-unit complex to Murray Guard Inc., for $2,900,000.
The complex consists of two- and three-bedroom units.
Texas Roadhouse opens on Vann Drive, Monday
The eyes of Texas Roadhouse have been on Jackson for several years, and at 4 p.m., Monday, the American chain restaurant that specializes in steaks and promotes a Western theme, opens at 1203 Vann Drive.
“Jackson Tennessee is a real nice community we’ve known about for a long time,” said Richard Obayagbona, Texas Roadhouse market partner, “We looked at several locations, several potential sites over the last five years and came close to a deal many years back, but it fell through.
“We were excited when this piece of property came available … we jumped on it … excited we were able to close the deal.”
The 7,163-square-foot Jackson restaurant – 3,770-square-feet for dining – will offer seating for 274.
“Our story is real simple,” Obayagbona said, “It’s hand-cut steaks, fall off the bone ribs, made from scratch sides, fresh baked bread, ice cold beer and legendary margaritas … that’s our story at Texas Roadhouse.
“We want you to come in, have a great time, have legendary service and enjoy our legendary food.”
Business hours are 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., Fridays; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Starbucks opening inside Jackson-Madison County General Hospital
Starbucks is scheduled to occupy 930-square-feet inside Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in late April or early May.
Morrison’s, the food service vendor for Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, has the license for the franchise.
Business hours were unavailable, but the newest Starbucks location will be open seven days a week.
