Air Choice One will offer flights from Jackson to Destin, Fla.

Beginning in July, passengers will be able to fly from Jackson to Destin, Florida.

A one round-trip flight will be available daily each Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Monday.

Air Choice One offers six flights each week out of McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

The 1.5 hour flight leaves Jackson at Noon, Monday through Friday, with a return flight from Atlanta at 3:30 p.m., Eastern time.

Air Choice One also leaves Jackson at 9 a.m., Sunday, and a return flight leaves Atlanta at 12:30 p.m., Eastern time.

Air Choice One, which began serving Jackson and West Tennessee in 2015, continues to offer three round trip flights, Monday through Friday, from Jackson to Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.

One flight is offered each Saturday and two flights on Sundays.

Grubb’s Grocery celebrating 4th anniversary at Jackson Walk, Saturday

Grubb’s Grocery – the city’s only natural and organic market – celebrates its fourth anniversary at 4 Jackson Plaza, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday.

“I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished in Jackson in just a few years,” said Chris Felder, owner of Grubb’s Grocery. “We’ve listened to our customers needs, tried our very best to exceed them, and as a result, our business feels stronger and more abundant now than it did during our previous years.”

According to a press release, the store entered the Jackson market as the first-ever full service natural foods retailer, June 17,
2015.

REAL ESTATE – Market report for Jackson-Madison County

Wes Harris, State Farm Insurance Agent – home, auto, life & banking – 319 Vann Drive, sponsors the Real Estate Market Report.

According to the Multiple Listing Service, new homes for sale in Jackson in May stood at 23, compared to 29 for the same period in 2018.

New construction homes sold January 1 through May 31, was 66, compared to 51 for the same period in 2018.

The number of homes on the market, which includes all of Madison County through May 31, stood at 242.

Average days on the market – January 1 through May 31, was 57.

The average sales price for a home for May was $167,238, compared to $168,280 for April.

New distribution center, corporate office under construction near Pilot Travel Center

MILAN Supply Chain Solutions, a leading provider of Truckload and Distribution Services based in West Tennessee, is building a distribution center and corporate office off Interstate 40 at exit 85, near a Pilot Travel Center 79 Sand Pebble Drive and Speedway at 2522 Christmasville Road.

The distribution center will consist of 200,000 square feet, and a 20,000 square foot facility will serve as the company’s corporate office.

Baudo’s Restaurant – new name, new location

The website and the building remain under construction, but tradition is set to return for Baudo’s Restaurant.

Mama Baudo’s will open in a 2,430 square foot facility at 429 Walker Road Suite A in Thomsen Farms – leased from Ann-Marie Kelley, FirstChoice Property & Development.

Baudo’s Restaurant, which moved to 559 Wiley Parker Rd., in 1972, closed January 19.

The building has been demolished.

The restaurant first opened as B&H Pizza in the Hollywood Shopping Center August 22, 1965.
