FirstChoice Property & Development opens new office in Thomsen Farms

A ribbon cutting officially opened First Choice Property & Development’s new office at 1363 Union University Drive in Thomsen Farms, Friday.

The office is located in the middle of the company’s new 35-acre master plan development, which will include a three-story mixed-use facility.

Also, two new strip centers will be constructed next to West Tennessee Healthcare,, which is located at 1270 Union University Drive.

West Tennessee Bank (WesTN Bank), which opened its first branch in Jackson, July 18, 2018, at 1270 Union University Drive in Thomsen Farms, will open in a new facility at the corner of Union University Drive and Exeter Road, following construction.

Air Choice One begins flights from Jackson to Destin, Fla., July 4

Air Choice One has added a new route to Destin, Florida.

According to a press release, this new route will include a route from Jonesboro Municipal Airport to Destin Executive Airport with one stop in Jackson.

Nonstop service will be available from McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport to Destin Executive Airport.

The weekly service will make one round trip each Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Monday. Tickets can now be purchased by going online to airchoiceone.com or by calling (866) 435-9847.

“We’re thrilled to expand our nonstop service to and from Jackson,” said Shane Storz, CEO of Air Choice One. “We started serving the community in 2015 with service to St. Louis, and expanded in 2017 with service to Atlanta. Destin has been a highly requested route for quite some time, and we are happy to now provide that destination to our travelers.”

The inaugural flight will take place on Thursday, July 4, 2019. A ribbon cutting ceremony at Jonesboro Municipal Airport will commence at 10:20 a.m., followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:15 a.m., at McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport.

Officials from the Jackson Chamber of Commerce, representatives from the Jackson/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau, and local leaders will join the celebration. These events are both open to the public.

Jackson apartment complex sells for $2 million +

Magnolia Landing Apartments, 100 Magnolia Landing Court, have been sold to Hallmark Magnolia Landing LLC for $2,325,000.

Located near Jackson State Community College off Highway 70 East, the 60 unit complex offers two- and three bedroom apartments.

Each apartment has two bathrooms and 1,054 square feet of living space.

In April, Parkview Apartments LLC, 100 Emory Hill Drive were purchased by Parkview TN LLC, for $3,250,000.

Located off East Chester Street, the complex offers two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments – 1,153 square-feet, and three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments in 1,353-square-feet of living space.

In March, Woodcreek Apartments, 1000 Hollywood Drive, sold.

Nashville businessmen Jordan Buie and Kirtley Whittington purchased the 12-unit complex from OLAF LLC for $175,000.

Each of the one-bedroom units are in the process of being renovated.

In March, Woodridge Townhomes, 12 Country Club Lane, sold.

Originally scheduled to be condominiums, Woodridge Townhomes of Jackson LLC sold the 46-unit complex to Murray Guard Inc., for $2,900,000.

The complex consists of two- and three-bedroom units.

In January, Stonewater Place Apartments, 20 Stonewater Creek Drive – off Ridgecrest Road east of Campbell Street – were purchased by SM-Stonewater LLC (Florida).

The price tag for the 120-unit complex was $16,250,000.

The complex offers one- two and three bedroom apartments.
