Party Mart Liquors & Wine relocating to Thomsen Farms

Party Mart Liquors & Wines is moving to 429 Walker Road in Thomsen Farms.

Located at 2841 Highway 45 Bypass, owner Alan Johns said he anticipates opening in early July.

“We’ll be able to offer more product,” Alan said, “We’ll have more usable space, more linear shelf space – about 400 feet – and go from 2,300-square-feet to 2,738-square-feet.”

Located between Jackson Energy Authority and Foundation Bank, in The Columns, the restaurant – music is the theme – will occupy 2,409-square-feet, and offer seating for about 98 people.

“We’d like for everyone to come out Tuesday at 11 a.m.,” said Craig Estes, owner, Rock N Roll Sushi, “We’re open Sunday to Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday nights until 10 p.m., come by and check us out.

“We have great lunch specials, and we look forward to meeting you.”

Estes, a software engineer with First Tennessee Bank, owns two Rock N Roll Sushi franchises in the Memphis area – 2886 Wolf Chase Parkway in Bartlett and Germantown.

The first Rock N Roll Sushi opened in Mobile, Alabama in 2010.

The company has restaurants in Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Tennessee.

Property once home to Baudo’s Restaurant sells for $600,000 +

The previous location of Baudo’s Restaurant, 559 Wiley Parker Road, has been listed for sale.

The list price for the 1.8 acres is $665,000.

“It’s a prime site for a hotel, restaurant, retail development or office building,” said Eden Smith, listing agent, Coldwell Banker Now, “Its location at corner of the Highway 45 Bypass and Interstate 40 has an average daily traffic of 47,620 on the bypass and average daily traffic on I-40 is 49,544.”

Jackson Beer Board approves 6-pack of requests

The City of Jackson Beer Permit Board approved six requests for business and special occasion permits during its monthly meeting at the City Council Chambers, Tuesday.

Randy S. Hall was approved for a special occasion permit to sell, store and serve beer at an event to be held at Oman Arena, May 11.

Cody Blue Miller on behalf of the Jackson Symphony League, Inc., was approved for a special occasion permit to sell, store and serve beer at an event to be held at the Cumberland House located at 428 North Cumberland Street in Jackson on May 18.

Steven Trent Alford was approved for a temporary permit to sell, store and serve beer on Thursday evenings, weather permitting, on the parking lot of 731 Sports Bar & Grill located at 601 Vann Drive – May 30 through June 30.

Abby Marie Arnold Lackey – on behalf of the West Tennessee Foundation – was approved for a special occasion permit to sell, store and serve beer at the Twilight Run and Downtown Rendezvous, which will be held at the West Tennessee Farmers’ Market on June 6.

Gary Wayne Rolison was approved for a permit for a business known as Sidestreet Distributing, LLC located to operate as a distributor at wholesale at 269 West Baltimore Street.

Ronald Craig Estes was approved for a permit for a business known as Rock N Roll Sushi, located at 2046 Pleasant Plains Extended, Suite A, for selling, storing and serving beer on the premises where sold.

WesTN Bank opening new financial center in Thomsen Farms

West Tennessee Bank (WesTN Bank), a division of Decatur County Bank, which opened its first branch in Jackson, July 18, 2018, at 1270 Union University Drive in Thomsen Farms, is making a move in the neighborhood.

The bank will remain on Union University Drive after constructing a new facility on University Drive.

Business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Fridays.

The drive-thru is open 9 a.m. to Noon, Saturdays.

Established in 1899, Decatur County Bank was the first bank in Decatur County.

West Tennessee Bank was established in 2010, and opened a temporary office in the Honeye Plaza in Henderson before moving into its permanent location at 1007 U.S. Highway 45 North.

The bank also has locations in Decaturville and Parsons.
