Commercial property on Vann Drive sells for $2.7 million plus
Commercial property once home to Furniture Factory Outlet (FFO) in the Columns II at 1505 Vann Drive, has been sold.
Shy Properties GP purchased the 21,500-square-foot facility, which sits on 1.98 acres, for $2,795,000.
The property is vacant and for lease.

Commercial property occupied by Arby’s Restaurant, 1984 South Highland Ave., sold in March.
Lucky’s Pizza Huts LLC, purchased the property from BC North Partners for $1,555,555.
Arby’s opened its fourth and newest restaurant in Jackson on January 31, 2022.
In February, property home to a Slim Chickens franchise, 6 Channing Way, sold for $3,120,000.
Slim Chickens opened November 8, 2021.
Also in February, property home to a Wendy’s restaurant at 873 Vann Drive sold.
Cactus Development Partnership purchased the property from WRG Realty for $2,711,115.
The building was renovated and reopened for business in March 2019.
Jackson-Madison County Community Economic Development Commission Grant Application due April 8
The Jackson-Madison County Community Economic Development Commission (CEDC) will be accepting Tourism Grant requests for the FY 2023. Applications are accepted from non-profit, non-governmental organizations, and for-profit businesses that demonstrate the ability to complete the proposed event or activity in Madison County. Please refer to the grant guidelines.
According to a press release from Lori Nunnery – CTTP, TMP, FEP, Executive Director – if you would like to request funds from the CEDC, please complete the enclosed Grant Application and supplemental items and return to the address listed below prior to 12 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2023:
