A former home of Toys R US, 2139 North Highland Ave., has been sold.
Located in Hickory Village Shopping Center, GW Jackson TRU LTD purchased the 29,754-square-foot facility from TUR 2005 RE I LLC for $900,000.
Toys R Us, which had about 740 retail stores in the United States, closed its Jackson location in June 2018.
American Freight Furniture & Mattress, 2151 North Highland Avenue, is the only tenant in the shopping center.
American Freight, which opened in February 2019, occupies 30,600-square-feet located in the former home of an Office Depot.

Highlights from the June 2021 Labor Force Estimates:
The Seasonally Adjusted Unemployment Rate for Tennessee slightly decreased from 5.0 percent in May 2021 to 4.9 percent in June 2021.
During the same time period, the Seasonally Adjusted Unemployment Rate for the United States slightly increased from 5.8 percent to 5.9 percent.
The unemployment rate increased in all 95 counties across the state.
Williamson County had the lowest unemployment rate at 3.4 percent.
Perry County had the highest unemployment rate at 13.0 percent.

Chipotle Mexican Grill taking shape on Vann Drive
Management could not be reached for comment, but construction on a new Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurant continues at 883 Vann Drive.
Herron Construction Company from Medina is building the new restaurant.
The average size of a Chipotle restaurant is 2,200 to 2,500 square feet.
Chipotle is a fast-food chain which offers Mexican fare, including design-your-own burritos, tacos and bowls.
Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurants are mostly company-owned and are no longer being offered as a franchise. While a few franchises were sold, Chipotle’s franchising plan has changed.
Convenience store chain raises funds for Exchange Club Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse
HOHENWALD, TENNESSEE – At the conclusion of a spring fundraising effort called “Round Up for Children,” Fast Stop Markets was able to gift more than $29,850 to five child advocacy centers across Middle and West Tennessee.
According to a press release from Tajuana Cheshier – The Bramblett Group – Fast Stop Markets’ customers were asked to donate their extra change to child advocacy centers that support and protect victims of child abuse in their communities.
These partner centers include:
• Exchange Club – Carl Perkins Center (Chester, Decatur, Henderson and additional West Tennessee counties);
• Davis House Child Advocacy Center (Hickman, Lewis, Perry & Williamson counties);
• Child Advocacy Center for the 23rd Judicial District (Cheatham, Dickson, Houston, Humphreys, and Stewart counties);
• Kid’s Place (Lawrence, Giles, Maury, and Wayne Counties); and
• Montgomery County Child Advocacy Center
