Total electric bus visits Jackson Transit Authority
It was a sign of times to come when Gillig Corporation demonstrated a fully electric transit bus at Jackson Transit Authority, 38 Eutah Street, today.
The bus has seating for 36 passengers – capacity – with an expected range in the Jackson area of 160 miles each day.
The bus is not in the JTA fleet.
Family Consignment Sale begins today at former Sears location in Old Hickory Mall
Deals & Steals Family Consignment Sale will be held in the former Sears store at Old Hickory Mall, Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday.
Clothes, shoes, home decor, furniture, art, tools, electronics, books and toys are just a few of the items that will be available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday.
Workers at the sale can shop at 11 a.m., Sunday, one hour before the doors reopen to the public, who can purchase items from noon to 6 p.m., merchandise is available at half-price.
Dollar Day is 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday.

Median sales price from January 1 throught March 31 was $184,900.
