When stores reopen, Best Buy will continue to encourage social distancing with signage and by limiting the number of people inside to 25 percent capacity – that’s about 60 or more customers, depending on the size of the store – the release says.

Other safety guidelines it has implemented include temperature checks for employees, frequent sanitization of areas and surfaces within the store, installing shields at checkout counters, and dedicated shopping hours (10 a.m. – 11 a.m., Wednesdays) for elderly and vulnerable shoppers.

Business hours at the Jackson location are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week.

The reopening of stores also means people will get back to work. Best Buy says it’s bringing back more than 9,000 previously furloughed full- and part-time store employees and Geek Squat Agents.
