‘It was time’ – Jim Grant Motor Company closes dealership at Three Way
A 38-year run has ended for Jim Grant, owner of Jim Grant Motor Company at 5359 Nika Drive off the U.S. Highway 45 Bypass at Three Way.
“It was time,” Jim said, about closing the business. “I walked out the office one day and I decided it was time.”
The inventory has been sold, and the facilty is now for sale.
Locals will remember that for 33 years, Jim sold vehicles on North Highland Avenue before making a move to the U.S. Highway 45 Bypass in November 2019.
Jim said additional space was needed, and the setting, which offered a 6,100-square-foot business office – also provided a larger lot, which was already paved.
Jim said the modification of the building was very affordable, and the end result was a beautiful rustic atmosphere to sell pre-owned automobiles.
“My staff and I felt that this location provided Jackson Motor Company with the best opportunity to meet its future needs,” Jim said.
