Business Spotlight – ATA appoints Clay Crockett Chief Financial Officer
Jackson, TN – ATA appoints Clay Crockett as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead strategic financial planning, forecasting, and analysis in support of ATA’s long-term objectives.
According to a press release from Alexis Long – ATA marketing director – with over 15 years of experience in both public accounting and the private sector, Clay brings expertise in strengthening financial internal controls, budgeting & forecasting, business process improvement, software system implementations and risk management.

The Jackson Clinic announces new Primary Care Physician Dr. Jessica Willis has joined The Jackson Clinic Humboldt – 3568 Chere Carol Road – in the Primary Care department.
According to a press release from Stephanie Traylor – Marketing & Research Strategist – Younger Associates – Dr. Willis joins the Clinic with eight years of family medicine practice experience.
Dr. Willis received her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. She completed her residency at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. Additionally, she received her undergraduate degree in cell and molecular biology from the University of Tennessee at Martin in Martin, Tennessee.
A primary care or family medicine physician provides integrated and accessible primary care services. Primary care physicians and their healthcare teams work together to both keep patients healthy and manage chronic conditions.
Construction begins on Dunkin’ Donuts on North Highland Avenue
Construction on a new Dunkin’ Donuts is underway at 2757 North Highland Avenue.
The 2,000-square-foot facility will be located on approximately 2.2 acres of land, next door to Grease Monkey.
The new location will be the third for Dunkin’ in Jackson.
A fourth Dunkin’ is planned for Parkstone Place (corner of Dr. F.E. Wright Drive and Ridgecrest Road Extended) in Park Place East on approximately .63 acres.
Dunkin’ Donuts has restaurants at 5 Stonebridge Place, and 1560 South Highland Avenue.
Michaels announces opening date and business hours
Michaels Stores, Inc., North America’s largest provider of arts, crafts, framing, floral and wall décor, and merchandise, opens 9 a.m., Friday, July 5, in the Columns at 1081 Vann Drive.
Business hours are 9 a.m. – 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Sunday.
The location is the former home of Bed Bath & Beyond.
Michaels was founded in 1973 in Irving, Texas.
As of January 2021, there were 1,252 Michaels stores in 49 out of 50 states in the U.S., and Canada, with approximately $5.362 billion in sales for fiscal 2020.
Construction continues on La Quinta Inns & Suites in Park Place East
With an opening targeted for late summer, construction continues on La Quinta Inns & Suites, 140 East Park Square in Park Place East – near The Ballpark at Jackson.
The four-story, 87-room hotel – offering 89 parking spaces – will be located on a two-acre lot.
La Quinta Inns & Suites is a chain of limited service hotels in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Honduras.
La Quinta Holdings, Inc. first sold shares to the public in April 2014. La Quinta has headquarters in Irving, Texas.
