A sign on the restaurant’s front door states ‘We are officially closed as of today. This is our last day being open. We enjoyed the time of the years we had with Genghis.’
Located in the Shoppes at the Columns, Genghis Grill is recognized as the fresh bowl authority since 1998, featuring over 80+ premium proteins, signature spices, sauces, and hand-cut veggies to craft a perfect bowl.

Leaders Credit Union announces new advisory board members
JACKSON, Tennessee – Leaders Credit Union, a member-owned financial cooperative based in Jackson, Tenn., announces new additions to its three advisory boards.
According to a press release from Shea Brown – Director of Community Impact – Leaders developed the Cornerstone (Jackson), Memphis, and Northwest (Dyersburg, Milan, and Union City) Advisory Boards to maintain awareness of the latest consumer trends and member needs.
Advisory board members serve a two-year term, possess a strong knowledge of the community, and have experienced success in their community and/or professional career. Recently, Leaders expanded and added 17 new members to the current advisory boards to help advance the innovation and member experiences of the credit union.
Additions to the Cornerstone Advisory Board (Jackson) include: • Mark Cancia: United Way of West Tennessee • Grant Ely: Owens Corning • Ebony Black: West Tennessee Healthcare • Madelyn Hefner: Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse.

Commercial Bank and Trust Company construction continues at Oil Well Road location
With an opening date targeted for late fall 2024, construction continues on Commercial Bank and Trust Company at the northeast corner of Oil Well Road and Pleasant Plains Road.
The facility will consist of about 8,400-square-feet and is being constructed on approximately 2.4 acres.
Monte Jones is president of Commercial Bank & Trust Company, which has two locations in Jackson – 3093 North Highland Avenue and 79 Stonebridge Boulevard – along with its mobile bank courier service.
The new location will offer full service banking to include mortgage loans and trust services.
