90-unit apartment complex scheduled for Jackson Walk Phase III

A new apartment complex consisting of 90 units at Jackson Walk Phase III, has been approved by the Jackson Municipal Regional Planning Commission.

Submitted by Healthy Community LLC, the three buildings, consisting of one-and-two bedroom apartments, are scheduled to be located at McCowat Street and Talbot Street, or the site of the former West Jackson Elementary School, on 2.12 acres.

Ray Holder ends 23-year run at The STAR Center

It is a bittersweet day as we announce the retirement of one of our STAR family members, Ray Holder.

Ray has been a constant for the STAR Center for 23 years. He has worked with thousands of clients through the years and has helped better the lives of so many people and their families.

At our staff Christmas lunch a couple of weeks ago, the STAR staff nominated Ray as the employee to “always come fix Santa’s sleigh” because he is always the first that his coworkers call when they have a flat tire or are stuck in the mud.

Ray is the type of person who will drop everything to help those around him in their time of need, and this is just one of Ray’s many admirable qualities that we will miss around the STAR Center.

Ray, we love you, and we appreciate you. Your STAR family is better for having had the opportunity to work with you. Thank you for always supporting our team with your constant positivity and encouragement. We will miss you and are praying for you as you enter this season of retirement!

New apartment complex scheduled for Jackson Walk Phase III

The consideration of a design review application for a three-story apartment complex at Jackson Walk Phase III, has been approved by the Jackson Municipal Regional Planning Commission.

Located at Johnson Street and North Wells Alley, the complex – submitted by Healthy Community LLC – will offer two buildings – one and two bedrooms – consisting of 42 units on 1.14 acres.

Business Spotlight – Miles Anderson joins Alexander Thompson Arnold

MILAN, TN. – Alexander Thompson Arnold (ATA) has added Miles Anderson, CPA to its partner group, effective January 1, 2024.

According to a press release from Alexis Boyd – marketing director – ATA – Miles began his career at ATA over 10 years ago.

He has worked in a variety of industries but has created a focus in ERISA audits and tax services for individuals and businesses.

As partner, he will help lead the Milan location and be responsible for meeting client’s needs and goals as well as mentoring and providing professional development to others in the firm.
