New car wash in plans at home improvement location on Vann Drive
A new car wash is in the plans for Vann Drive.
A preliminary plan has been approved for the construction of Tommy’s Car Wash, which will be located on the parking lot of Lowe’s at 671 Vann Drive.
The facility will be constructed 1.05 acres and the facility will offer a 130-foot tunnel and 18 vacuums, and is the second car wash announced for the area in the last seven months.
Tidal Wave Auto Spa – was approved for 788 Vann Drive, was approved by the Jackson Municipal Regional Planning Commission June 2023.
An existing facility once home to Wings Etc. Grill & Pub – scheduled for demolition – is located on the property behind Walmart and across Vann Drive from Lowe’s.
The site plan – submitted by TWAS Properties, LLC on behalf of JSKK Investment, LLC – shows the facility will consist of 4,000-square-feet and will be constructed on approximately one acre.
When constructed, the automated car was will offer 22 vacuum stalls.

Business Spotlight – Leaders Credit Union adds Gray, Jamal, Tillman to leadership team

Chris graduated from Union University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Chad Tillman brings over a decade of financial service and business development experience to the Leaders Business Services team. The Business Services department at Leaders provides tools that lead companies and employees to the success they deserve in their banking experience. In his new role as Vice President of Business Services, Tillman will manage Leaders’ growing lineup of business banking solutions, as well as serving the financing needs of business members.
Tillman received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Martin, majoring in Finance and Marketing.
Tillman also received his Juris Doctorate from Southern Illinois University School of Law and practiced in West Tennessee before beginning his career in finance.

West Tennessee Bone & Joint announces new name, new location
At the milestone of its 50th anniversary, West Tennessee Bone & Joint Clinic is changing its name to West Tennessee Bone & Joint Institute and announcing the construction of a new medical facility at 50 Capital Drive in Jackson.
The new 55,000-square-foot medical facility, on the northeast corner of U.S. 40 and U.S. 412, will be large enough to host its Jackson providers and services under one roof. Construction of the facility on a 10-acre site in Columns III on Vann Drive began in Fall 2023. It is expected to open in early 2025.
