With construction scheduled to reach final completion in the first quarter of 2024, tenants are making their move to the Apartments at Copper Creek – a new 144-unit apartment complex at 55 Creek Stone Cove – south of Sterling Farms Cove.

New automotive center under construction on North Highland Avenue
A new automotive center is under construction at 3132 North Highland Avenue.
When complete, Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers LLC, will open in a facility consisting of 4,748 square feet on 0.70 acres next to Walgreens.
Eden Smith, Coldwell Banker Barnes, served as the transaction broker.
Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers is an American automotive maintenance brand, with services including its signature 10-minute oil change, in addition to full-service mechanical, tires, brakes, and more general service offerings. The company has 332 locations in 19 states, and is headquartered in Birmingham, AL, where it was founded in 1979.
Construction continues on Hyatt Place – Ronald McDonald House near Jackson-Madison County General Hospital
An opening date has not been announced, but one year after a groundbreaking ceremony was held for a new Hyatt Place – Ronald McDonald House – which in being constructed on the corner of West Forest Avenue and Lambuth Boulevard, is beginning to take shape.
The facility will benefit the children at Ayers Children’s Medical Center.
It will provide housing for children’s families, a place for long-term cancer/hospice families to stay as well as families of long-term heart patients.
The hotel will be a five-story facility with 107 rooms, consisting of approximately 79,000-square-feet, and will include meeting spaces up to 2,500-square-feet, a full-service fitness center, an indoor/outdoor pool with a bar, a coffee bar with lounging area, a full-service commercial restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating, and an upscale business center.
The Ronald McDonald House will occupy the second floor and will include 20 rooms, a community kitchen and living area, as well as a laundry area for families who need a home away from home while their children receive medical care.
At present, The Foundation places families in homes around Midtown Jackson when they are in the community to be with their loved ones who live more than 50 miles away.
This facility will located next to a large rehabilitation facility where patients may stay for more extended periods and across the street from a skilled nursing facility.
The Kirkland Cancer Center and Jackson-Madison County General Hospital is one block away.
The Jackson Clinic announces first graduating class of Employee Medical Assistant Program
Jackson, TN – The Jackson Clinic is pleased to announce the graduation of the inaugural class of its Medical Assistant Program.
Launched earlier in 2023, The Jackson Clinic Medical Assistant Program is an educational opportunity available to employees of The Jackson Clinic.
According to a press release from Stephanie Traylor – marketing & research strategist – Younger Associates – the program is available to eligible employees with at least six months of continuous full-time employment.
The 16-week program consists of a guided self-study of anatomy and physiology and medical terminology, 77 online modules, 72 classroom hours, and 112 clinical hours.
At the end of the program, students are prepared to sit for National Healthcareer Association (NHA) certification through practice exams and individualized remediation plans.
Each student in the program is assigned to a preceptor for their clinicals, utilizing a tiered skills- and assignment-based approach designed to build on previously learned material. While enrolled, students transition to the role of patient care technician, which is a full-time position with benefits in one of The Jackson Clinic’s departments.
The program offers students the ability to transition into healthcare careers, master the skills they learn in the program, learn healthcare professional expectations, and become a valued part of a healthcare team.
