JACKSON, Tennessee – The Greater Jackson Chamber is excited to announce the addition of Kyle Barron, Ed.D., as chief community development officer.
According to a press release from Lindsay Dawkins – vice president investor relations – Barron most recently served as vice president of student services at Jackson State Community College.
As chief community development officer, Barron will oversee public affairs, community development and internal strategy.

Bed Bath & Beyond closing on Vann Drive in the Columns
A date has not been announced, and management declined to comment, but Bed Bath and Beyond, located in the Columns at 1081 Vann Drive in Jackson, is closing.
With corporate offices in Union, New Jersey, the company announced the Jackson store would be included in the 150 additional closings earlier this week.
The company’s brick-and-mortar footprint has already shrunk dramatically, and according to published reports, a regulatory filing showed late Monday the new closings mean it will have shuttered 400 stores in the past year — almost half of the 950 or so stores it had open in February 2022.

Jill Holland, former McKenzie Mayor, new SWTDD Local Government & Special Projects Coordinator
(Jackson, TN) Southwest Tennessee Development District announced the hiring of Jill Holland as its Local Government & Special Projects Coordinator.
