Construction begins on new Starbucks in downtown Jackson
An opening date has not been announced, but a ‘Silt Fence’ is the first sign a proposed Starbucks will be constructed at 203 North Highland Ave., which is next door to The Blacksmith Restaurant.
The new Starbucks will be the ninth in Jackson-Madison County.

Kami Ramen Bar schedules tentative opening for Vann Drive restaurant
Kami Ramen Bar has scheduled mid-March for a tentative opening of its new restaurant at 103 Vann Drive in The Columns.
Kami Ramen Bar – which will offer seating for approximately 86 guests – is described as a casual traditional Japanese Ramen Noodle restaurant with amazing drinks – a true taste Of Japan.
The restaurant is known for its appetizers, buns, salads, donburi and of course, ramen – Chicken Ramen, Vegetable Ramen, Tonkotsu Ramen and desserts.
Renovations continue at the location, and an opening date has not been announced.
The national chain has two locations in Memphis – the Ridgeway Trace Center, 5865 Poplar Ave., Suite 110, and the Market at Wolf Chase, 2765 Wolf Creek Parkway suite 105.

Property rezoned for those living with autism; other developmental disabilities
The Jackson Municipal Planning Commission approved the consideration of a request to rezone property located east of Chickasaw Drive – off Bon Air Circle – from Single Family Residential to Single Family Residential/Planned Residential Development District for 20 cottages.
This community will serve the needs of people living with autism and other developmental disabilities in a natural environment with onsite supplemental facilities to serve their daily needs and provide a safe nurturing environment.
