Chamber announces 2022 Leadership Jackson class participants
The Jackson Chamber is pleased to announce the nominees selected for its 2022 Leadership Jackson class. Leadership Jackson is a leadership development program for community members who demonstrate leadership potential.

Business Spotlight – Adelsberger Marketing announces fall interns
JACKSON, TENNESSEE – Adelsberger Marketing has announced their fall semester interns – Avery Chenault as a Writing Intern, and Adelaide Thompson as Graphic Design intern – according to a press release from Brittany Crockett – Adelsberger Marketing Social Media & Online Content.

Adelaide Thompson is a Jackson, TN native and is also a student at Union University, working on her degree in graphic design and a minor in marketing.
West Tennessee Healthcare – Joan Rutherford named employee of the month for August
Joan Rutherford, who has been with West Tennessee Healthcare for 18 years, was named the organization’s employee of the month for August.
A receptionist at the front of the A3 Mother Baby Unit, Joan was presented the award when the West Tennessee Healthcare Board of Trustees held their monthly at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, Tuesday.
The presentation was made by Deann Thelen, VP/CEO, JMCGH, and Tania Lambert, Director, Customer Excellence.

Unemployment rates for West Tennessee counties; Chester County lowest in region
Highlights from the July 2022 Labor Force Estimates:
The Seasonally Adjusted Unemployment Rate for Tennessee remained the same at 3.3% from June to July.
During the same time period, the Seasonally Adjusted Unemployment Rate for the United States decreased to 3.5% from June’s 3.6%.
The unemployment rate increased in 5 counties, decreased in 89 counties, and remained the same in 1.
Williamson County had the lowest unemployment rate at 2.6 percent.
Perry County had the highest unemployment rate at 6.3 percent.
