New apartment complex scheduled for Highway 70 East
A review application, approved by the Jackson Municipal Region Planning Commission, becomes the first step for construction of a new apartment complex at 1515 U.S. Highway 70 East.
The complex, named The Summit, would consist of 96 units and offer 1, 2 & 3 bedrooms.
The complex is scheduled to be constructed on approximately 4.62 acres.
Turntable Coffee Counter opens at new location
JACKSON, TENNESSEE – Turntable Coffee Counter will hold its grand reopening at their new location at 300 E. Main St., Saturday, July 16.
Turntable is downtown Jackson’s only independent coffee shop and will be joined in their new space by Light Trap Books and Greenhawk Records.
According to a press release from Becca Creasy, Turntable Coffee Counter – the 2,400-square-foot shop will be open weekdays from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m., Saturdays from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., and will be closed Sundays.
Seating will be available for 20 customers with sidewalk seating scheduled for the future.
With the new location, Turntable has also announced the transition to baking all pastries in house through Mixed by Turntable. Mixed will offer an array of baked goods that will change seasonally along with the coffee menu.
Turntable opened its doors in 2021 as a startup through The LOCAL, downtown Jackson’s micro retail shops that help local entrepreneurs develop their businesses with affordable overhead costs. The building, not the business – commercial property in Thomsen Farms sells for $1.8 million +
Commercial property at 1382 Union University Drive becomes the latest sale in Thomsen Farms.
Brandon Buchanan, Joseph W. Gibson IV and Jason B. Rudd sold the property – which is home to Morgan Stanley – to Hooper’s Quick Stop Inc., for $1,880,000.
The sale of this property is the second since March 2018.
BGR Commercial Properties purchased the property from C&F Investment Group LLC for $1,250,000.
