Starbucks renovating former Krystal building at 12 Stonebridge Blvd.
One month after the world’s largest coffeehouse chain opened its newest Jackson location at 2851 Christmasville Cove, Starbucks pulled an interior demo permit and renovations are underway at 12 Stonebridge Boulevard.
The location is the former home of Krystal, which closed in September 2019.
Management could not confirm an opening date or the future of its restaurant at 907 Vann Drive.
In April, Starbucks announced plans to return to downtown Jackson at 203 North Highland Ave., which is next door to The Blacksmith Restaurant.
Familiar faces in different places
- Jackson Christian School, a private, Christian-based college preparatory school located in Jackson, Tennessee, is pleased to announce Janet Wylie as the director of marketing and public relations.
Janet will direct marketing initiatives as well as share the Jackson Christian story with the community.
Janet brings 11 years of marketing, public relations, photography and videography experience to Jackson Christian.
Most recently, Janet spent six years as marketing specialist at Leaders Credit Union, promoting the credit union throughout West Tennessee and advancing brand both internally and throughout the community.
- Raymond James welcomes financial advisor Alissa Nance to Raymond James & Associates (RJA) – the firm’s employee advisor channel – in Jackson, Tennessee, according to Courtland Williams, Southeast regional director for RJA.
Raymond James is located at 534 Carriage House Drive.
Nance previously managed approximately $130 million in client assets at Morgan Stanley and now heads Alissa Nance | Raymond James, serving as senior vice president, investments and is accompanied by senior registered client service associate Becky Gordon. As part of the transition, she will join RJA’s Memphis Complex as assistant branch manager, led by complex manager Field Norris.
- Laura Riddell, who has been employed at the Therapy & Learning Center for seven years, has been named the West Tennessee Healthcare employee of the month for June.
Laura, a Developmental Therapist, was presented the award by Teresa Freeman, vp/cno, Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, and Ron Kwasigroh, director, Therapy & Learning Center, during the West Tennessee Healthcare Board of Trustees’ monthly meeting at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, Tuesday.
- Jackson Christian School, a private, Christian-based college preparatory school located in Jackson, Tenn., is pleased to announce the hire of Kendall Naceanceno as director of K-12 curriculum and instruction.
Naceanceno will oversee and align academic curriculum throughout the student journey.
- Younger Associates is pleased to announce the addition of a new team member to their staff.
Stephanie Traylor, Marketing and Research Strategist, joined the Younger Associates team in June.
According to a press release from Mary Kathryn Day – Graphic Designer & Digital Media Specialist – Younger Associates, Stephanie brings a wide range of creative and technical experience to her role. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Union University (Jackson, TN), where she received the Helen Blythe Creative Writing Award, and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Lindenwood University (St. Charles, MO).
Before joining Younger, her role at a local real estate firm involved content creation for the company’s social media as well as compiling and analyzing area housing market statistics.
Raymond James financial advisors making move to Thomsen Farms
An opening date has not been announced, but Jackson’s financial district – Leaders Credit Union, First Citizens National Bank, Patriot Equity Credit Union, Bank of Jackson, Simmons Bank, etc. – will soon add a new neighbor in Thomsen Farms.
Construction has started on new offices for Raymond James financial advisors on Union University Drive, next door to West Tennessee Bank.
Electronic Express adding Jackson location on Vann Drive
An opening date has not been announced, but Electronic Express will become the newest tenant at 1505 Vann Drive.
Electronic Express is recognized as a leader in top quality, name brand electronics, and appliances at exceptionally low prices since it first opened in 1983.
When the retailer opens in Jackson in the 21,500-square-foot facility, it will become the 23rd company-owned store.
Electronic Express has 19 stores in the Nashville area, and three – Huntsville, Florence and Decatur – in Alabama.
