Fast Pace Health approved for new clinic – corner of North Highland Ave. & Bon Air Circle

The consideration of a design review application for Fast Pace Health & Urgent Care – corner of North Highland Avenue and Bon Air Circle – took its first step toward construction after its design review application was approved when the Jackson Municipal Planning Commission held its monthly meeting at City Hall, Wednesday.

The clinic is scheduled to be constructed on .9 acres.

Fast Pace Health & Urgent Care is also located at 2048 South Highland Avenue in Jackson.

Business Spotlight – Mack Pest Control opens new office in Henderson

HENDERSON, Tenn. – Fourth generation family-owned pest control company, Mack Pest Control, has opened its fourth Tennessee location in Henderson at 426 N. Church Ave, Suite 3.

According to a press release from Summer Paris – Paris Creative Agency – Mack Pest Control has merged with an established and trusted Henderson Pest Control, Four Seasons Termite Co., as part of the acquisition.

Jerry Newsom, who operated the Four Seasons Termite business for decades, will continue to serve in that role for the Mack Pest Control office in Henderson.

Newsom is a former assistant football coach at Chester County High School and is currently the offensive coordinator at Chester County Junior High. He has been married to his wife Christie for 20 years and they have five children and six grandchildren.

“When this opportunity presented itself, we were excited about the possibility of working with Jerry in the Henderson market under the Mack Pest Control umbrella,” said Russ McKelvey with Mack Pest Control. “His company has a excellent reputation in Henderson and we will work with him to expand those services to Lexington and Selmer.”

Mack Pest Control offers both residential and commercial pest control services including treating bed bugs, ants, spiders, termites, fleas, ticks and wasps.

New construction in Thomsen Farms

Construction continues on a new 9,800 square foot Thomsen Farms Office Building located at 68 Exeter Road in Thomsen Farms.

John Herron Construction Company from Medina is building the facility, but a competition date and tenant(s) have not been announced.

The building is located next door to Premier Dental Center, which has a completion date scheduled for the third quarter of 2022.

New home construction sites for Jackson & Madison County

The consideration of a Plan of Service, proposed annexation and zoning for an area referred to as “McLemore,” comprising of approximately 66.94 acres, located at Jack Exum (Road) Lane, was approved on a First Reading for single family residential, during the Jackson City Council’s May meeting, Tuesday.

The property is east of Passmore Lane near the U.S. Highway 45 Bypass.

The Jackson Municipal Regional Planning Commission approved the consideration during its monthly meeting in April.

Jackson Beer Board approves 1 special occasion, 2 business permits during monthly meeting

The Jackson Beer Board approved requests for one special occasion and two business permits during its monthly meeting at City Hall, Tuesday.

Ashby Scott was approved for a Special Occasion permit for the Heaven’s Cradle Twilight Run, to sell, store and serve at The Farmers’ Market, June 2.

Sohel Rana was approved for a business known as Chester Food Mart, LLC, 1625 East Chester Street, for selling, storing and serving on the premises where sold.

Megan Wack was approved for a business known as TGI Friday’s No. 60522, 1035 Vann Drive, for selling, storing and serving on the premises where sold.

Renovations continue for new City Lumber Company showroom in downtown Jackson

Renovations continue on a new showroom for City Lumber Company at 226 West Lafayette Street.

With a target date for completion schedule for fall 2022, the showroom for residential architecture will include windows, doors and flooring for non-commercial properties.

Crocker Construction Company Inc., is renovating the building, which is approximately 4,000 square feet.
