The Jackson Exchange Club is proud to announce that Deputy Michael “Stephen” Clark has been awarded the prestigious Officer of the Year award. Deputy Clark has dedicated his life to serving and protecting his community.
Deputy Clark graduated from Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy and began his
career in 2007. He served with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department until 2022 before
joining the Madison County Sheriff’s Department.
His wealth of experience and passion for public service have been vital in his career, especially in his current role as a School Resource Officer at Northeast Middle School in Jackson.
Deputy Clark has been recognized by the FBI, TBI, Lexington Police Department, FEMA, and
TEMA for his excellence in law enforcement, investigations, and public safety.
His extensive training includes course work with UT Martin, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, the Tennessee Methamphetamine and Pharmaceutical Task Force, and the Tennessee Governor’s Highway Safety office.
In recognition of his dedicated service, Madison County Mayor A.J. Massey proclaimed
Tuesday, March 4, 2025, as Deputy Michael “Stephen” Clark Day in Jackson, Madison County.
He urged everyone to join us in honoring Deputy Clark for his outstanding contributions to our
community.
