JACKSON, Tenn. — Archivists hope to collect Tennesseans World War I
records and save those for future generations.,Next month archivists will visit Jackson-Madison County Public Library
They will be on-hand for anyone willing to have their WWI photos, documents
and other records digitized.The archivists will be at the Library at 433 East Lafayette Street from 2
p.m. until 7 p.m. Nov. 3 and from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Nov. 4, according
to a release from the Tennessee State Library and Archives.All items must be original, not photocopies or reproductions, and owned by
the person bringing them to the event. Bring letters, photographs,
diaries, military records, maps, sketches, weapons, uniforms and other
items related to the war.The archivists will provide tips on how to care for and preserve items.
