Shots fired in east Jackson.  One victim goes to the hospital,
Investigation is ongoing

According to police, one person was injured in a shooting Monday afternoon
at an east Jackson apartment complex.

Around 2:30 p.m. Monday Jackson police responded to a call of shots fired
at Lincoln Court apartments.

Police say a person arrived at a local hospital by personal vehicle with a
gunshot wound.

The injury is not believed to be life-threatening.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and need witnesses and anyone
