Shelby County deputy jailer faces assault charge
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — A Shelby County deputy jailer has been charged with aggravated assault.
According to WMC-TV (http://bit.ly/GGaFdK), 41-year-old Gerald Holliman was arrested Friday for striking a man in the head with a bottle following an altercation.
The victim, Davalon Young, was treated at a local hospital for a concussion and cut on his head.
A jailer told The Associated Press on Sunday that Holliman made his $5,000 bond and was released on Saturday.
